Hi- I’m Jan. I’m a Canadian currently living abroad in SE Asia. I teach ESL and Bible classes and also study language part-time.
I am possibly a coffee snob. I love the idea of healthy living and might border on being a bit crunchy, (think sourdough bread, water kefir, and yogurt- all homemade of course) but my love of fries and ice cream keep me balanced.
I love to try new things- especially creating in art form. I love paradoxes and juxtapositions. I’m an introvert but also enjoy socializing. I’m an enneagram 4 for all you enneagram lovers out there. True to type, I relate deeply to being a tortured artist.
I’m a farm girl at heart but am currently living in the city and quite like it. I am passionate about seeing people find freedom and healing, and want to be an advocate for people- especially women and children who are vulnerable to/are currently being exploited. I believe that Jesus has commanded His followers to care for the poor, the widows and the orphans. I’m still learning what this should look like in everyday life.
